In this year of massive mergers, the NFL and Animal Planet have announced a merger between the Super Bowl and the Puppy Bowl for 2026.
Active discussions as to how it’s all going to work are ongoing, stated representatives from both the Super Bowl and the Puppy Bowl. Concepts will be tested beginning this spring.
“No matter the rules, we’re very confident that it will add a new, exciting, unpredictable dynamic to the game! I mean, how great will it be to have a bunch of puppies running around creating havoc on the field during the game?” stated NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. “We’re even considering letting attendees bring their pooches to the game!”
One major football fan, Dennis from Wisconsin wearing a cheesehead hat, stated “This is the most exciting thing to happen in all of sports in my lifetime! What chaos! Just imagine the potential for mayhem! I can’t wait!”
Representatives from Adweek applauded the announcement. “This is bigger than the Omnicom-IPG merger. Let’s face it. The more havoc on the field, the higher the ratings.“
According to unnamed sources, Allstate's Mayhem, who loves working with dogs, has already signed a major sponsorship deal.
